Let’s talk about the latest news related to Alvein, the new site, our new project and everything else.
Alvein
As many of you have probably noticed, our Patreon page was shut down shortly after the latest update of our game.
Despite what some people have been guessing on forums and Discord, it actually has nothing to do with the things being speculated. Like I said before, I’d chalk it up to plain bad luck—though, to be fair, we do share a bit of the blame.
Alvein is our first game, and a lot of what happened comes down to our earlier lack of experience and not fully understanding how some things work.
The reason we got banned is something that could apply to many other creators and studios out there. Most of them aren’t doing anything intentionally wrong—they’re just unaware of certain rules or how things are interpreted.
The good news? It’s totally avoidable, and it’s still very possible to work with Patreon without any issues.
Our next project (yep, there’s a new one coming!) will also be on Patreon—but more on that soon.
Unfortunately, we can no longer continue developing Alvein under Patreon’s guidelines, so we’ve had to start a new project.
New project
The biggest challenge for us was that we jumped into game development without any prior experience and had to learn everything as we went. As we gained more experience, we started coming up with ideas we loved—but couldn’t fully implement in Alvein due to limitations of the engine, the style we’d already established, and the structure of the gameplay.
This new project is a mix of our style and fresh new ideas. The game will feel familiar in terms of structure, character depth, and overall vibe—very much in the spirit of Alvein. But at the same time, it’s set in a completely new world, with brand-new characters and a whole new story that has its own charm.
Keep an eye out here and on our Discord so you don’t miss the game’s release—it’s coming very soon! Right now, we’re aiming to launch later this month!
Oh, and by the way, everyone who registers on this site will get early access to the alpha version of the game, playable right here online. So don’t miss your chance to be among the first to try it out 😉

And finally. So we don’t disappear on you again and can stay closer to you, my dudes, we’ve created this website where you’ll always be able to find the latest news and chat with us. It’s still in its early stages, but we’ve got big plans for it also. In the future, we want to add a bunch of useful and fun features to make things easier and better for everyone who play our games.

Nice to see you guys getting right back up and right back into it. Looking forward to the new game already.
Just to be clear when you say, “Unfortunately, we can no longer continue developing Alvein under Patreon’s guidelines,” does it mean development can’t continue until it can be done under a new set of guidelines (i.e. a different funding site) or because it started on Patreon with funding through their system, based on their guidelines they can say you guys can’t continue developing it at all even if you could secure a different funding site?
According to their rules, we’re not allowed to fund Alvein even on another platform. In other words, either we stay on Patreon and make a new game, or we leave Patreon for good.
Thanks for the clarification! Sucks that you all won’t get to have a complete project to show for all your work, but looking at the bright side, you guys will get to apply the lessons learned and improved ideas you probably got while making Alvein in a way that would end up being scope creep if you tried to implement them their. Here’s to fresh starts!
